Just a lull. To Austin and Regionals in June. Ah... June in Texas. Kind of like Paris in April. Sorta. North Chuck is a city struggling to define itself. Round ball is certainly part of the makeup.

Regionals. One day my players and I will have this discussion. I spent several years of my life in that state. Once the other team starts screaming "Remember the Alamo!" it's all over. Just a forewarning.

After further research, again the plans have changed. I've heard about a nice little place where everyone seems to know your name. The smiles are brighter and the people friendlier. Its called Mt. Pleasant. Know much about the area? (This is gonna be greaaaaaat!)

I don't think it was spit.

Nobody (with the possible exception of VFW reunion groups visiting the Yorktown) vacations in Mount Pleasant. It is a sort of gateway to Sullivan's Island, IOP, and Historic Charleston, but outside of tony upscale subdivisions replete with selfcontent east of the cooperites, upscale shopping and some good restaurants there is little to do there. Mount Pleasant, as such, has no soul. The name itself is a deception. No mount anywhere to be seen and outside of the above mentioned amenities little pleasant. You can spend hours in bumper to bumper traffic... Oh well. Think about going up the coast a bit to Awendaw for a bed and breakfast or, one of my favorites, Myrtle Beach. Crass comercialism at its all american best.

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberry.

Lpaf,
Come on over to the Land of perfection. Ferguson may even let you cheer for Wando!

R1C - come on down and enjoy . Lots of ways to enjoy the water besides going across the InterCoastal. However, I will admit there is a lot of traffic around the various orthodontists' offices .

p.s.- I cleaned this up from my orginal - briefly forgot that Lent never ends!

I cannot figure out which of you is the Emperor and which is Darth Vader.

Choosing my vacation site based on your descriptions is like choosing my favorite writer. Humorous Mark Twain and Folly Beach, perhaps Posh Fitzgerald and M to the P., or the largely commercialized world of Tolkien and Myrtle Beach. Alas, I shall pee into the wind and head to aruguably the greatest place on earth, even if it means ultimate unhappiness. Hemmingway and Aiken. To the saltlick M'Cola!!!

Mostly Australian wines. I'm fond of shiraz, if I do say so myself. On a more serious tourist note, do you think that Mt.P is used for much more than a gateway destination when it comes to tourism?

My most sincere congratulations to the two Wando Seniors honored today by SC High School Sports Report: Lou Hudson -- Girls' AAAA player of the year, and Kelly McGinty -- Miss Soccer. Wando will, I hope, have a hard time replacing them on next year's team.

Sorry for editing my post again. Anyway I will concede that the tourists probably only know MP as a hopping over point but the blessed who live here know all the great ways to enjoy other parts of E. Cooperism. 17 is a p.i.t.a. - I will attest.

Obviously the girls had a good year. Not going to ruin the afterglow by talking about next year yet!

Is there a mount and who deemed it pleasant?
