I don't think I will be able to make it over to the smallest field in High School soccer tonight, so will somebody take some notes.

Any predictions?

I saw both at the Viking Cup. It should be a very good game but I would give the edge to South Aiken. They where as good as JI in passing and making the runs on offense.

The Cage (116 x 57) is the same width as Wildcat Hollow where Lexington plays and larger than Eagle Stadium where Airport plays. True, the stadium sits right atop the four-lane track surrounding the field, but the playing surface is the same as what you are used to at Lexington One District Stadium (and without the cliffs on each sideline).

Don't be surprised to see BC come away with the W in this one.

Get'em Kyle! I was just about to post the dimensions of your field when the phone rang and I got sidetracked. I'll get 'em next time they question THE CAGE!!!

BC is probably the better team right now but we are improving by leaps and bounds at every game.

Brookland-Cayce 5, South Aiken 2

It was 5-0 when B-C started to substitute freely. B-C's #13 Mallory Phillips owned the midfield. Also, on the wing #18 Christian Patton could not be stopped (3 goals and an assist).

I've been saying it since I saw them at the Viking Cup - you better watch out for the Bearcats if you are AAA, especially Region V. It's awful early in the season, but it's hard to believe there is anyone in AAA Lower State that can compete with Brookland-Cayce right now!

On another note: The sweeper, #13 from South Aiken, is All-World, USC or Clemson could use her as a kicker or punter THIS FALL!!

Nothing like being "is and incredibly experienced"! Slightly better than being "was of great"

Soccerdfner16, every morning my kids and I wake up and come to the computer to read your post. Then with a dry-erase marker we grammatically critique all 20-something errors. Beth and Robby thank you from the bottom of their hearts.

Looks like BC was more than up for the challenge. Doesn't surprise me in the least. BC is a very good team and forget about the 3A, 4A stuff. They can play with all of the A's!!!
P.S. TLH - you're a real stitch.. gotta love it.

BC outplayed us at every position and was the better team tonight. We came out flat and got beat to every ball. That said, we will bounce back. No heads bowed tonight because BC can line up with anyone in 4A. We are better than we showed tonight and the girls know it. Hats off though to BC - Well coached and talented group of girls. They didn't give us many chances and the ones we had we failed to execute. Tomorrow is another day. Just glad to get a letdown out of the way. The season is a long one and looking forward to it. Good luck to BC.

With BC beating South Aiken tonight, yet losing to Lexington (I know they won in the taco smell, but I'm talking reg season), would it be safe to say we'll have a new region champion this year? I know Deahler and Mark are wishing I would keep this mum, but there is no denying the stats tonight. My chips are in, it'll be Lexington or Fort Mill for the upper state championship. Mauldin who?

TLH- Correction, Lex beat BC at the taco smell as well as the regular season. Both good, tough, close games but 2 wins none the less for Lex!!

I'm sorry you two. Today, apparently, is "Upset Everyone Day". First, apologies for my mistake about Lex (one I'm very glad to hear about). Second, I am more familiar with the heart at SA than you would believe. I don't doubt SA, just enjoy the excitement of competition that my scsoccer friends are now enjoying down the road. As a 5 time varsity player along with the first Region Championship in boys history (against Mr. Heise, no doubt) I am the ultimate long distance, alumni, t-bred supporter. Watch this:

Go T-Breds!

I like the new name. Have you thought of "McCants+3" or "KennedySt+6" as possible monikers? Morph on, my electric city friend, morph on...

I mentioned on the Taco Cup thread after the tournament that ti was a shame that SA did not get a shot at JI before being outpointed by them in the group.

Now it looks more like it's a shame that BC did not get a game with FM before they failed to advance on points.

Based on last night's result....we may have had a different Taco Champ!

Deahler-

Thanks for the compliments and great commentary for BC. It is so nice to see parents who love soccer and come to watch girls that aren't even theirs perform...and then to find joy too in their accomplishments. It was great finally meeting you after reading your posts:)

TLH-you are a mess...incredibly funny..thanks for the laughs:)

I agree with you though...Lexington has incredible skill and tenacity...they could be champs...and their keeper is way too good...she could have missed one when they played BC:)

SAHS Fan-That was a great post. Your girls played so well...lots of speed and yes Missy Temple and Kristy are awesome. They played club with my daughter and yes Missy could play kicker for USC and I would be thrilled...but alas she will be playing for PC....go girl!

We all make mistakes. You just happen to do it at an alarming rate.

Back to soccer: I can't wait to see the head to head to head of South Aiken/Aiken/Lexington. They seem the most unpredictable region right now. As always, JI/WA/Wa will be for state, but the newfound fun is down the road with S-burg/Dorman/Mauldin. Thank goodness for high school girls soccer.

Soccerdfner16,

I am not sure exactly what has you so angry at TLH. I love a good argument like anyone but when you resort to name calling with such low intellect. Well, it's just sad.

Just cool down, think about the message you are sending to us with you current round of posts. Positive things are not coming across my mind at the moment.

Why don't you go back and edit your posts and swallow a little bit of that pride you have. Then wait for when your team gets a chance to play TLH and then show him on the field.

After many years of screwing up, I have learned never to type or say anything I wouldn't say to that persons face. Because the world is a very small place and those type of things tend to come back and haunt you.

You really should work on that self control thing. If people discussing soccer and sharing "inside jokes" can cause you to go on profanity laced tirades, I shiver to think what other idiotic things you would do if Wendy's got your order wrong. Please make an effort, in the future, to control your adolescent mouth for those of us with character on this board. I look forward to your more intelligent and positive post in the future.

TLH~I did not go on any "profanity laced tirades"- i said one remark about u! Why do u bother.... U seem to have a reply to everything I say.... No u finding a rude/trying to be funny remark about all my post is what made me mad...I could care less about ur inside joke with my coach...and I am glad to see that you think u have so much character as to harass a high schooler about her post!

You said in another thread:

Doesnt this message board seem like it is full of long drawn out post by mainly parents and coaches!!!! For the coaches~ There is a reason there is an forum for COACHES, so use it and stop posting ur 100 year old inside jokes on the boards! The parents on the other hand are unfortunate and don't have their own board to post on, so until they do there is not much to be said, except post JV stuff in the JV forum. The parents are not even that bad, it is reallly just the coaches' posts. Think its time for the players to take back their board!

I have concluded that A) You are one big hypocritical grammatical error waiting to happen B) Nobody likes you and C)I am wasting my life trying to decipher your grade school english.

I hope you are banned for all four vulgarities you made users of this board witness. I will lead this campaign...

That is quite obvious in the way you follow our every post and make your supporting comments towards her. Judging by your spelling, I think you two are one in the same. That's just my opinion "pesonally"

Well personally I think you are dead wrong on that one, in fact I know you are, I have never met the girl. I am sure she is a good person, but every person has their time when they are angry. Having someone "say" or post things about them relentlessly can get to a point where it can be unbearable, no matter who you are!
