With the circular performance of Wando, JI, and WA I would like to suggest that for ranking purposes this Sunday: regular season undefeated FM and Mauldin occupy the top two positions and the region 7 rankings be allocated according to the following. Of the three games, only one was decisively determined in regulation play, James Island over Wando 2-0. So unequivically JI is better than Wando. WA played both Wando and JI to pk's, losing the first and prevailing in the second. PK's mean tie in my book, so WA is equal to Wando and JI overall, but just a tad worse than the forces East of the Coopah based on pk's and just a lucky tad better than JI. A win trumps a tie. So Fort Mill and Mauldin are ranked 1 and 2. JI moves down to #3 while Wando (beat WA in pk's) is #4 and WA #5. At your discretion, RNE could be moved to the #3 position based on their play over the last 3 weeks, moving the Region 7 teams down one notch each. Solid logic, Chico?

lpaf & Low Country faithful,

I guess it doesn't matter too much if you finish #1 or #2 in the region......I'm assuming that no one wants to finish #3 because the road would get substantially harder.

Second thought, I imagine finishing #1 is important because you would host the state semi-final against your arch-rival (whichever of the other two survive).

Does the Region 7 champ historically go through to the state championship?

R1C,

Are you laughing because you are not used to seeing the Region 7 teams relish in the role of underdog?

I don't believe it for a minute either!
