Hey Hurst, isn't it about time to recognize how the FM girls "come out strong" and "play hard the entire match"? The score last night could easily have been double digits. All these statements seem to be so low key it doesn't realy give proper credit to a 22-1 record, #1 state. #15 nationally. They've had a great year, regardless what happens from here on in! And, don't forget that one loss was very early in the season and was the second game of the morning! There has been a lot of player development since then, and even the JVs who played last night looked right at home...and productive! Talent and depth at every position. Some team might beat them, but they will certainly have to have a great night to do it!

hurst, you stated earlier in the year that the good players should not be left in against poor teams to score goals or inflate stats - i am paraphrasing here. but, according to the match report in "hs soccer in the news," ****lin scored a goal in the 78th minute? wasn't the match well in hand or did you guys feel a massive comback inside of two minutes? while that was overly rhetorical, the first part deserves a response.

dad,

You are way over the top. Anybody can beat anybody, look at what we have already seen. If you don't bring your "A game" every night, or if you let a team hang around and don't score goals....you go home early. I don't care what your record is or what you're ranked. At this stage, all games are very tough.

As for last night, give Easley credit for a great effort. FM would have gotten to 10 if they could, but they didn't. They never stopped trying to score. To Easley's credit, they never stopped hustling and defending. There are three teams in our region who absolutely quit and stop running in the second half of their games against FM. Easley never quit and challenged every ball.

If you think the Lady Jackets are going to waltz through to the state championship you are mistaken. There are a lot of teams out there that can play great defense and at least three teams in the Charleston-area who can argue that they have better talent than Fort Mill. It will take a tremendous effort to win the state championship. Whoever the victor is, they will have earned it (especially West Ashley).

(By the way.....we're 23-1).
