It was MB all the way, demonstrating that the boom ball rec soccer tactics of NMB are no match for the tactical and technical skills of the MB Seahawks. One exception for NMB...once again Jeffrey Silverberg played a great game. Good work Seahawks!! Well done Coach!

It was a great game to watch. Both sides played well. NMB played a little more of kickball but they had some chances that could have turned out as goals. It was a great game to watch.

to mbsocfan, I don't think your comment was warranted, So w/o getting to trash. MB deserved the win b/c they wanted it more. I think the next game will have different ending.

Sorry you took offense at the remark, Asking. But my opinion still stands. It all comes down to players raised in the rec system vs players raised in the club system. Even on your own team you can see the difference between Jeffrey Silverberg, (a player that has pushed to play at a higher level...even traveling to NC to play when there wasn't a team his own age at the classic level here), and the players that have been held back at the rec level. Yes, I say held back because talented players should be encouraged by their rec coaches and their parents to take it to the next level. I look forward to seeing the next match between these two teams...we'll see if my opinion plays out. And please remember that it is exactly that...my opinion.

mbsocfan, I agree to point but remember it takes $$$$$ to do those things, and alot of our kids have to work just to help out. They play when they can for the enjoyment. I wish our kids could experience that type of competition. However you are rite in what you say that club play does improve a players skill. Also after looking at the film even my son said we played alittle too much long ball

Both teams played a great match. Not only is Jeff Silverberg great, all of our boys are awesome. North Myrtle Beach is an exremely talented team as well as individuals. NMB vs. MB is a good match up but NMB will come back next time! [Roll Eyes]

Asking, This is not the forum to discuss this, but I wanted you to know that club soccer is not just for the wealthy. Through corporate sponsors, private sponsors and a very creative fundraiser...we make club ball available to all. I personally have not come out of pocket for my sons club fees for 3 years. Just wanted to clear that up.

mbsocfan, I understand your point,I just think it was unfair to equate the 2 teams in that manner. I'm not opposed to it, in fact it's a great vehicle for upping ones' skills but I still think we'll win next time long ball or not.
