I heard an intersting rumor after the WA-Summerville game. Rumor had it that a very, very high level Wando girls' coach contacted a very, very high level Summerville coach to tell him what to do to beat West Ashley. I guess it didn't work, since WA won. Hope WA doesn't hear about this or they might decide to really get upset about the whole thing. Maybe it didnd't happen.

What would it matter what one coach told another ?

Is it illegal to give advice?

What do you plan to do about it?

You could give a lot of high school teams months to prepare for Bolt and company, but I doubt it would do much good.

p.s. Don't listen to me. It's the loss talking.

There’s nothing wrong with a little scouting. You have to get your information from somewhere. To not try to find some weakness to exploit would be suicide especially when facing a team of the caliber of WA. You should take it as a compliment. When people talk about your team that means that they are acknowledging your ability. When they scout your team that means that they are afraid. You should call the Spring Valley coach to get the low down on Wando. These things happen and they aren't that uncommon.

I know theirs always scouting. But it looks funny for one coach to give advice to another coach about how to beat a team in the game before the first coach has to play one of the two teams in playoffs. That doesn't sound right. Doesn't matter anyway.

I think scouting reports have been around long before any of us. Nothing wrong with it or it would be illegal. Thankfully, it did not matter.

Coaches let each other see their videos of teams they are going to play sometimes. Thats just the way it is. Some coaches are friends, and some coaches don't like other coaches, so they see to it that they team that they are playing has some good video to look over. It happens all the time!

What about videotaping? Tihs is not about Wando, or WA except that they were teh teams being taped earlier this year by a JI mom. Are their any restrictions on sneaking a videotape. Just wondring.
