Well, I'd say I'm a bit biased! But, I'll go with JI over West Ashley (this is going to be an awesome game!), and Fort Mill over Mauldin. Then, good ole J.I. to win it all!

when is the Dreher/BC game Tuesday?

i want Dreher to win because i just want someone to just beat BC. i mean i have respect for them, but i want Dreher to win. i know BC beat them early in the season, but hey third times a charm. no matter who wins, i just hope either Dreher or BC win state.

#14, now that is what you all said when we played Airport...don't be mad at BC because they beat you all fair and square and didn't foul or play ugly. When Dreher beat us 3 yrs ago, the girls cheered for Dreher in the State Finals...if you can't beat them join them! Plus we are in the same district...

The Dreher at Brookland-Cayce girls Lowerstate Championship will be held at The Cage tonight (Tuesday, May 10) at 6:30 p.m.

Sorry, Klein, but you know I have to pull for the Bearcats in this one!!!

FM / Mauldin is THE game for several reasons, and it's a replay of last year's upper title game. There is simply no way FM can be held scorless this year....everybody on the roster can score (actualy every player except one HAS scored this year, including both keepers!) But, Mauldin must have done something good to get to be #2. This will be a fun game!

JI taking all the marbles? Well, that's counting some chickens, but....FM did beat 'em once this year.

I'm torn on BC versus Dreher -- so I'll just wish best of luck to two very good players I've had the privilege of watching for years in club ball. Good luck to Latoya Dickson of BC and Ellison Sharpe of Dreher. Latoya used to play on a Lexington team where she was clearly the best player but not always used to her incredible potential; Ellison used to play on a NECSA team and was always awesome; I hope both do incredibly well tonight.

Time to make my choice. I have seen all the teams in 4A & 3A either as a referee or as a spectator (although for most it was early in the season):

The only AA team I saw was Emerald, so I can't make any predictions.

Just one question.....why, for all the people who predicted the 3A result, have most of you picked Eastside over Riverside. I'm just curious of your reasoning seeing that Riverside has beat them 4 times in a row?

TLC , although not speaking on anyone's behalf , i would assume the "objective " folks have picked eastside based upon the law of averages. i am a GHS fan/father have have seen both schools play twice ( vs us ) and find them to be equally skilled and talented . i felt that eastside/riverside/GHS were far and away the most superior 3a teams in the upstate this year, and we know that winning sometimes requires some good bounces, good calls and , at times , good luck.my point is while you are correct that riverside has has had eastside's # of late ( like eastside seems to have ours ) , i dont think the "objective " folks conclude that riverside is superior to eastside---thus their prediction.time will tell if the tide remains the same or turns. best of luck

FM...I was at that FM-JI game in the Viking
Cup final. I believe it was a 0-0 game at the end of regulation. A very good game, it was. I wish I could see both of the games taking place tonight. They're sure to be "edge of your seat." Play will be fierce all the way around. May the force be with them...

I guess most of the predictions are hosed because WA won tonight.

BTW: I picked Eastside over Riverside because E comes before R. I have been reading my get rich book betting on Girls HS soccer. Of course it hasn't worked yet...

Eastside scored the lone goal in the 4th minute of the first 10 minute OT period and held on for long 16 minutes to gain the victory.

Lots of lightning and rain in Cayce tonight. The officials and game management crew did a great job of monitoring the weather and endured a 1:30 hour delay until 8:00 p.m.

We'll do it again tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. Should be a good one along with the softball championship series between Berea @ B-C at 6 o'clock.
