Shearer,
I agree that quote "Chapin won't be those girls at BC". However, don't count out the girls at Chapin. They have a pretty talented squad this year as well. The night Bc plays Chapin will be a game to see...count on that!

I see the great minds of scsoccer.com are starting to fully understand. Though it looks like lpaf isn't fully brainwashed yet.

My wife and I went to see TSO last Tuesday at The Colonial Center and that was one cold place! Fantastic show. Any kind of entertainment that drives the old fogies out of their seats is my kind of show! [Wink]

Come on guys, the girls at BC have proven that when a game is on the line--they win it and if I recall by big margins!! Chapin has great talent and ability, but BC has 8 seniors which have all played in big games. They are going to be hard to beat. I actually thing the rival game this year will be Chapin and Dreher. That should be a fun game to watch. These two teams are very similar in style of play and have fairly young teams. Who ever shows up to play--wins. We will see how region 5 turns out by the end of April.

Jane,

Watch the video again.

Seriously. BC is the champ until they lose it. Chapin and Dreher will be better this year and will push BC a little more than last year. Because of the competition in the region, much like the lower state in 4a, that will help improve all the teams in the region and the winner will be the state champs. BC dominated Chapin in both games last year. One the score showed it the other didn't but BC was by far the best team. I am seeing good things stating to happen already with the Chapin team and a lot of excitement by the girls of Chapin I didn't see last year. Depth is the problem in 3a girls soccer. One injury to a critical player and your season could become a loss. Chapin has already lost one very good player to injury and we haven't even played yet. But we do have a little more depth this year.

Where is all the 4a predictions?

Chapin Dad,

I watched the video,(3:02) then decided to watch the video again (6:04 of my life that I won't get back)!! Now forgive me because I haven't become chapinited, maybe the next video you send us will suck me in!! Now back to soccer. You made some very great points, but I believe that through diversity you can still have a rockin season. I have seen it done by many teams. Two which are in your region. 1. Dreher girls - who lost three star players (not seniors--due to other commitments) but still managed to make it deep in the playoffs in 2004. 2. BC girls - 2005 season, lost two major starters in preseason due to devestating injuries...and look at where they got. Great seasons are possible no matter how bad they may start off. Enough talk here are my predictions.

1.Fort Mill
2.BC
3.Wando
4.Lexington
5.Bishop England
6.Eastside
7.West Ashley
8.Riverside
9.James Island
10.Dreher/Chapin

What do you think?

W/A did lose quite a few seniors. 4 that were fantastic. Don't over look them or you could be in for a surprise. They have quite a pool of players to pick from. I think you can look for the now 10th and 11th graders to pick it up. Plus there were numerous 10th and 11th graders that played JV last year only due to the fact of there being limited spots on the varsity. Should be an interesting and transitional year for W/A but I surely wouldn't count them out. Time will tell though [Smile]
