WA - If the goalkeeper handles the ball outside of the penalty box, it would be a direct free kick from the spot of the infraction outside the box. It would NOT be a penalty kick.

To try to put this to bed, the only goal scored on FM thus far in field play was by Mauldin in the Viking Cup. An FM midfielder was called for a high kick about 30 yards out. The direct kick play resulted in a scrum in front of the keeper and the defense could not clear the ball. Not a PK.

And yes the goal was the result of a high kick called on one of our midfielders (she is all of 4'10) Just one of those calls you have to wonder about
