futbolesvida,
I won't argue that being able to play a full 100 minutes of soccer without a break is one measure of fitness. I think, however, the James Island coach is missing the opportunity of both "fresh legs" and the benefit a brief rest can bring to the starting playes late in a game. How many times have you seen a starter who is rested for 6 or 8 minutes late in a game come back in and look faster and stronger for the final minutes? Not substituting is not a virtue, it's a weakness of coaching. Knowing when to rest your stars is an art. JI has competent subs on the bench, their new coach should make use of them, especially in tight games.
