Coach, I haven't been beaten 18-0, but there have been games when we could have. No apologies necessary. Keep up the good work.

Soccerdog6, my JI girl told me, when I questioned how the score got so high, that they were told that the GC coach prefers the opponents to play their game. Doing otherwise is something of an insult to the GC girls who show up to play the game regardless of the score. I didn't see last night's game, but did see the previous JI/GC game and was so impressed with the GC girls. They never let up and they never gave up. They obviously love being out there, even if they lose. What do you want the opponents to do? Should they pass the ball to GC and let them score? Should they remove some of their players from the field? Should they stop the game at 10-0? Perhaps remove their own goalie? Should they give less than 100% when that is what is always demanded of them? Just posing some questions because I don't know the answer either. I'd like your input as to how you want opponents of GC to play so as not to invite criticism.

grits,

If the GC girls are still playing hard there are a number of things that you can do where both teams can still benefit.

At 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0 (choose one)....start the restrictions.

Limit JI's touches to 2 or 3 and only allow goals to be scored on headers off crosses. The score will not exceed 10-0 and you will often lose possession to GC, forcing both teams to "hustle" and the game will appear competitive. Both teams will get something out of this and JI will not be accused of humiliating a team that works their butt off and deserves better.

Officiating, blow-out games, rankings, and Wando's whiteness are all topics that get recycled year in and year out. Its funny that, and I mean no disrespect to those participating for the first time in these dialogues, it never fails to come up. You can just sit down in February with your checklist and wait for them to come.

Any other repeated topics I left out?

Grits,
I don't propose you play GC any differently than anyone else. When you have the game won - well, take a look at the boys side forum and see what this subject has stirred up there. I don't have the answer, no one does. Also, the smart-*** statement of passing the ball to the GC girls or removing the keeper just shows your distain and defensiveness for this subject. Again, hopefully get to see ya in the Premier league.

please enlighten us benp.

and gunners susu and kistler are not the only standouts for dreher. even tho susu is having an amazing season perhaps one of the best in the state. and kistler is following her fantastic frosh season with another good campaign. but ellison sharpe would be lighting up stat sheets if she was more selfish, she has as good if not better ball skills than anyone in the state. brittany rush is having a breakout year, and louise bailey is yet again one of the most solid and reliable sweepers in the state. the rest of the defense is solid, alex foleys heading ability is a real asset and so is christine terril's hustle and toughness and as i said lindsay is a beast and i would know.
