Is this finally the year that Chapin beats B-E for the state crown??? Let's hear what everyone thinks about the matchup?? Is the upper state tougher, which will wear down the Chapin team, or could Waccamaw upset B-E in the playoffs?

I think Chapin has a good chance every year to beat BE but for some reason they choke or something and BE ends up whooping them. I don't understand this. I thought Chapin's year was last year, maybe this year but I'm doubting it.

Having watched Brookland-Cayce play all three teams -- Bishop England, Chapin and Waccamaw -- I definitely feel that the Class 2A Championship will be a dandy!

Bishop England is led by one of the most powerful strikers in the state in junior Lawrence Smith. Tommy Kandl is a top player as well and very dangerous.

Chapin has a stellar defense and an outstanding outside midfielder in Trey Aull.

Waccamaw is well-paced and led by senior midfielders Trey Janes and Joel Sapp. They could definitely play the spoiler role in the Lower State!

Should make for a heckuva race as all three teams are fundamentally sound and well coached! Good luck to all three teams for continued success in 2002!
