Aiken's Ellie Victor had her first hat trick of her high school career tonight: scoring 2 of those from long range. Audrey Timmerman scored two (one on a penalty kick & the other from a bomb about 30 yds out) & sent a third corner in that was recorded as an own goal. Amber Chase scored 2 (one off the thigh & one off the shoulder). The final goal was a penalty kick by Meredith Few. Everyone on Aiken played brilliantly tonight and the balls were falling our way. One of the best first round games that I can ever remember here at Aiken. Total team effort--all 19 players were on.
Very good match. Very physical. HH scored on an outside shot over the keeper about halfway through the second half, then iced it on a header off a corner with about 3 to play. WA played a very tough match.
