Dreher JV plays BC JV tomorrow at Memorial at 7. I've heard that BC brings varsity players down to play in JV games. It should be interesting to see what they do. Does anybody else think this is unfair?

The only way this is fair if these are Varsity players that get little or no playing time, you know sub in so starters can get a breather. They still have more experience than regular JV. It must be terrible to play for a coach that wants wins more than experience their JV. [Frown]

Please note that the B-C JV starters consist mostly of eighth graders. Alot of the opposing teams are Freshmen and Sophomores, with an occasional younger player thrown in the mix.

B-C in order to develop the overall soccer program, does not bring down anyone just to win a game. They will on occasion bring down a Freshman Varsity player, or maybe a Sophomore who does not get much playing time. This is done to provide them an opportunity to play, and also help in developing their leadership role when these younger players move up in the future. [Big Grin]

why would bc risk a varsity player to play on the jv level if he's any good. Any player that drops down is probably jv caliber anyway
