Brookland-Cayce will host the annual Bearcats Preseason JV Kickoff Classic this weekend at The Cage.

The following teams will participate in the tournament on Friday and Saturday:

Batesburg-Leesville JV
Brookland-Cayce JV
Brookland-Cayce B-Team
Cardinal Newman JV
Hammond JV
Lexington JV
Ridge View JV
Ridge View B-Team

I was just wondering why B-C didn't let Airport's JV be in their tournament this year. They have been in it for the past 2 years, so this makes no since to me. Does anyone have an answer of why Airport isn't in it this year, because I know they wanted to be in it?

Due to inclement weather on Saturday (3/1/03), the third round of the Bearcats Preseason JV Kickoff Classic has been postponed until Saturday, March 8 at The Cage.

The Bearcats JV Preseason Kickoff Classic will resume this Saturday, March 8 with an adjusted schedule due to conflicts with participating teams.

Hammond JV and Batesburg-Leesville JV will be unable to play this Saturday due to conflicts -- the matches involving Hammond and B-L will simply be canceled.

We have condensed the time schedule, so that officials will have two games back-to-back.

I hope everyone understands, but it is the best we can do at this juncture.

The remaining schedule is as follows:

9:00 am -- Brookland-Cayce JV vs. Ridge View JV
10:30 am -- Cardinal Newman JV vs. Lexington JV

The Bearcats JV Preseason Kickoff Classic has been canceled due to the field conditions at The Cage.

The games will not be made up.

The Lexington JV team won Division I, while the Ridge View B team won the Division II title.
