i was just wondering a breakdown of yalls jv team. I know we had a 'rebuilding year' on jv, with only 3 returning players. I think we had 7 middle schoolers. Do yall allow middle schoolers or do they have their own team.

Irmo's JV team consisted of several 11th graders due to the varsity team having several 12th graders... thus in need of replacement for next year. As far as middle schoolers... 3 7th graders and 5 or 6 8th graders. This was a pretty solid team.

Swansea's JV team consisted of all 7th and 8th graders except for one 11th grader.

At Hanna we had all Freshmen and Sophomores on JV this year and only 4 middle schoolers, but will only return 6 next year, so we are back to using middle schoolers next year.

I don't know where the rule is written, but the rule that I heard is this: If the feeder middle school to a high school has a middle school soccer program, then a player must play on the middle school team and is not allowed to play JV. It may be a school per school rule, a school district rule, or statewide. I'm not really sure.

That's correct, because it happened to our boys this year at RNE.

To Oppressed Emotions, which players are returning next year? How many are quitting and how many are going up to Varsity?

Just like any other competetive program, the ones that can make it are returning, the others...
