Who are the strongest boys/girls JV teams in the state?

On the girls side I would say Brooklyn-Cayce. I would put them up against a lot of varsity teams.

On the boys side maybe Irmo? not sure of their record.

The NMB Team ended with a strong season. 9-1 record. Their last game against Socastee was cancelled due to a storm and will not be rescheduled. Look for them to be strong again next year.

I would have to say that BC's JV girls are up there near the top. I don't know their record but they have a huge amount of talent on that team, I can think of 7 eigth graders that play challenge or higher club ball. I do know they were missing several players at the Irmo tournament. Hopefully BC and FM will both go to the Irmo end of the season tourney

Hurst,

Fort Mill will likely be missing a handful of girls due to Club tournament (CUFC Julian Brown).

Bluffton has a really young team. Most of their 9th and 10th grader play varsity leaving middle schoolers for the JV team. They do have one amazing midfielder named Sergio who is gonna kill in a couple seasons.

I think that the Brookland-Cayce JV girls are the best in the state. They have a huge amount of talent and could easily stand up to any varsity team around.

Summerville JV girls have proven 2 seasons in a row that they are one of the best teams in the state. Many of the girls will move up next year and deservedly so. These girls have had a great time playing together and have enjoyed their coach. I would be remiss not to mention that this season inspired many of them to rethink their passion for soccer and what it means to be a TEAM-they had a great spirit. Good luck to those who are going to Alabama to play in June for the U16 SSC Starz.

On a side note: Summerville soccer owes a great big thank you to Coach Brady (SSC) for his perserverence in keeping these girls excited about playing. I believe he has coached almost everyone of the varsity and JV players. The love of soccer trancends from him to these girls and it shows on the field.

Fort Mill girls JV handled Summerville 2-0 in the Irmo preseason tournament, when the Lady Jackets were at full-strength (perhaps Summerville wasn't).

In last weekend's Irmo JV tournament, a Fort Mill girls team missing two SC U-14 ODP players defeated Spring Valley 3-1 to send Summerville into the final. The Summerville girls (along with coach North) were great supporters on the sideline during this match.

Congrats to Summerville and hopefully someday these two fine teams will get to square off in a Viking Cup or State Championship final.

(Good job to Coach Brady too.....he's a great guy!)
