I would totally agree with your rankings except maybe I would bump up Chapin to a little higher than you have them. You also know that people are going to try to disagree with Irmo being #1. They will think that BE is supposed to be up there...but there is one thing that seperates them. Irmo is Undefeated, and nobody has come close to beating them this year. They are the team in the state, and they may end up being the top team in the country if they can stay undeafeated. Good job to BE though with winning a tough Tourney, too bad that Norman North didn't hafe their top player available to play, it may have turned out to be a different winner if he had played.

I agree that Chapin should be higher in count zero's poll. But soccerboy, BE's loss was to an out of state team (by the way, it was 2-1 and called due to weather just as the second half started). They have taken on a lot of high ranked teams, how about Irmo? They only have a handful. They are very good though, it could go either way. I wish Irmo would play more.

I know that Chapin is a very good team but I just can't tell from there schedule if they are better than Riverside or Greenville
BE and Irmo have a very good chance at being ranked in the top 5 in the Nation.
I wonder where the National ranking will put BE after the tournament.
I do agree I with some team including my former team would play more, but they are in scisa and that is a different issue.

I think Spring Valley is still in the top 10 in the state. Their only losses go to Irmo, RV, and Dorman. Their recent tournament loss goes to Northwestern in a poor game with a ref having 2 daughters at NWHS. Spring Valley deserves some recognition and I am sure they will do well in the playoffs.

I believe that Irmo will remain Nationally ranked in the top 10 and Bishop England will crack the top 20, possibly 15. The top 10 SC teams are:

1) Irmo
2) Bishop England
3) Ridge View
4) Wando
5) PM Dorman
6) Riverside
7) Greenville
8) Myrtle Beach
9) Summerville
10) Chapin/James Island

hey youknow, why do you have to make it so blatantly obvious that you don't know. Riverside beat Greenville 4-1 and completely dominated the game there is no way G'ville is 3 and RHS is 6! by your rankings RHS should be 3. and don't look at RHS's schedule and hurt them, Riverside has played some crazy hard games and some really good teams.

#1 RIVERSIDE(they totally dominate every team they play) #2 IRMO (they're good but they could'nt beat RHS) #3 BISHOP ENGLAND (good team, but compared to RHS they suck) #4 GREENVILLE (they just bent over and took it from RHS) #5 RIDGE VIEW (they wish they could even play with RHS but they cant and never will) #6 AIKEN (compared to RHS they're just a bunch of little girls) #7 DORMAN (put them up against RHS and they will be crushed at least 5-0) #8 CHAPIN (yeah RHS has them on lock down too) #9 WANDO (RHS would easily pound these guys no contest) #10 JAMES ISLAND (c'mon now these are nobodies when you put them next to RHS bc they're without any question the best team in the state)

YouKnow, Riverside is a great team but they don't dominate every team that they play. Greenville didn't play very well and still made it a good game. Oh and they didn't dominate Christ Church when they lost to Christ Church
2-0.

Greenville High beat Riverside 3-1 earlier this season in a game totally dominated by the Raiders. In the return match, Riverside led 4-1 until there were about 15 minutes left in the game. The Raiders dominated the final 15 minutes and the final score was 4-3 in favor of Riverside.Everyone who saw and played in the game know that both teams are excellent AAA boys teams and hope a third match will occur but one of us will probably have to beat Daniel first and they are very good as well.

Hey, YOUKNOW, I like how you have Dorman ranked at #5 and #7 on your top ten list. They are better than Aiken and worse than Aiken at the same time. Thats interesting. Why do you say Greenville and Riverside suck? Riverside has been pretty dominant in 3A for quite a while and Greenville is winning a lot of big games this year, which is probably why they are ranked #1 and #2 in the state in 3A this year. Both teams are really good and have a real good chance to win state this year. Do you play? If you do then for who?

Irmo123: you have BHP way too high. I probably wouldnt put them in the top 30 in the state. True we lost to them 3-1, but if anyone saw the game they would say WK dominated. We had almost four times the shots and controlled the ball twice as much as they did. Our forwards were just having some trouble putting the ball in the net.

Um...okay wkd_24...I watched your match against BHP and you guys did not dominate. Niether team was really "in control" of the game. It was just back and forth, back and forth. The whole game White Knoll was always sprinting back to try and stop BHP's breakaways. Both of you guys just tried to play dump ball...so don't even say you guys dominated. BHP isn't bad...they have done well against some pretty good upstate teams earlier in the season..they just don't get the W's. I wouldn't talk bad about a team that beat you...but you are right..your forwards can't finish..cause in our match they should have had like 3 goals. Anyways my top ten are

#1 Irmo
#2 Bishop England
#3 Riverside
#4 Ridge View
#5 Dorman
#6 Greenville
#7 Chapin
#8 Aiken
#9 Christ Church
#10 Myrtle Beach

Yet that was a scrimmage at the beginning of the season.

Even if you take that into consideration. CC has lost to Wahalla, Flora, RNE, and Southside Christian. While Riverside has only lost to CC (in a scrimmage), Greenville, and The Baylor School (TN). Christ Church is a good team but not consistent enough, you guys beat up on the little 1A,2A, and crappy 3A teams but struggle against the top teams in the state.

why is there spring valley on none of these lists? i mean they have beat a couple of the teams on the list, and competed with many others. i know they had a poor showing at their last tourny, but they are still a team to contend with.

another thing. how can you put christ church on your list. true, they are #1 in 1A, but how many of these teams could they actually beat? i mean they barely pull out games against lower ranked 3A and 2A teams. how would they compete against the premier 4A, 3A, and 2A teams. i just dont see it.

i'm sorry...i do go to a 4a school and i was planning on saying i wanted to throw spring valley in there around 14 with summerville but i watch 4a games all the time and i know how teams play, but christ church is of course no where near the top, but they deserve a little recognition...maybe i was wrong, maybe they should still be down at the very bottom of my list...who's to know? In all of these tournaments being played teams might kill a team and come back and tie them. I think most of the games are won by determination these days, the skill level is very hard to factor in with many schools with quality teams!

Hey Leroy,

Aiken isn't that good. And its not like if your a 4A school your good. Cause that sure is not true. There are just as many teams in 4A and 3A that can compete with eachother. 4A thinks their so awesome just because of Irmo..thats the only reason. I will admit Irmo is an awesome school but other than Irmo there aren't really any 4A schools that are dominating over everyone else. Cause there is atleast one 3A and 2A team that could beat any 4A team besides Irmo. It isn't all 4A people that think they are the sh*t. Its just losers that live behind Irmo. Irmo is the real deal but teams like Aiken...(just using Aiken as an example b/c Leroy thinks they are sooo bad) think they are awesome because they have only lost 3 matchs. Its just that out of the 3 ranked teams they played they only beat one South Aiken (14). You guys haven't even played a team that wasn't 4A so you don't know what your talking about. I guess you'd have to be a THOUROUGHBRED to understand.

with soccer being 4A doesnt mean nearly as much as it does with football and other sports, but alot of 4A teams are better than most teams in lower levels such as 3A and 2A. not to say teams like riverside, bishop england, chapin, and other topped ranked teams in those levels couldnt compete or win many games in 4a, but it would be much more difficult. 4a brings much more to the table because of the sizes of the school. there are very good teams in other levels, they just dont face the type of competition that is brought with the bigger schools. and LE dude, you're wrong about the hiding behind irmo thing. many of the 4a teams could dominate the 3a or 2a level. tru, riverside, bishop england, chapin, and a few other top notch 3a and 2a programs could beat many 4a squads, but it wouldnt be such a cake walk for them in the playoffs. they divide schools into these levels for a reason, and thats to level off competition.i mean check out christ church, they are a very good 1a squad. but they lost to richland northeast. a school that isnt really known for their soccer, yet they still beat a team that will probably take home a state championship. competition is just different at each level, 4a isnt hiding itself behind one team.

Thats what I said..that the top 3A and 2A teams could compete with any 4A team...except Irmo. Okay so you also beat Dutch Fork, Lexington, and North Augusta...how high were they ranked when you "knocked" them out? Not higher than 10. Aiken probably could beat L-E..but thats not what i'm saying. I'm saying that the top 3A and 2A teams could beat you guys. Okay I post on most every topic b/c I watch a lot of soccer and this is an open forum. Heres my question for you. Why don't you ever say anything mature or productive in your post. All you can muster is "like em" and talking crap to South Aiken people.
Greenmachine- I said it isn't every 4A school. I think a lot of people respect Spring Valley mostly because they don't really talk much trash.
Hey...i'll make a bet with ya Leroy...if Aiken makes it farther than the 2nd round of the playoffs...I won't say anything about any topic having to do with Aiken soccer ever again. Even if there are still people like you running your mouth and lickin' your own balls...tell us some more about how great Aiken is.

Everyone putting Summerville in the #9 or #10 slot, be prepared for a rude awakening when they go the furthest out of anyone in the lower state. Although they lost to Ridgeview, the 2nd half was a true showing of Summerville's strength (complete domination), almost coming back. It was a very good game overall as well by both teams

ive only seen irmo play once this year, (against dorman, which they won 4-1), but i know that a bishop england or maybe even riverside can play with irmo and other top teams. be proved this last week at the palmetto cup. and just so everyone knows irmo can be beat this year is no diffent than last, they were the top team all year long and expected to breeze through into the finals. i guess we'll see...

I don't know about saying that Irmo can be beat this year. I think the only way Irmo will be beat is if they beat themselves. They are probably twice as good this year as they were last year. And Phil is too good of a coach to let them get cocky and under estimate anyone. Looks for Irmo to win it all this year and probably next year too. P.S. I'm not from Irmo, but I am a fan of what they have and what they can accomplish.

Hey, first off L-E dude is right. Riverside could tear apart every team in 4A except maybe Irmo and probably even them. Secondly whoever said Irmo can't be beat this year??? that's a crazy naive statement. Any team can be beat any week including the amazing Riverside. Just because they've lost an upset before doesn't mean they won't this time. Any team that doesn't show up to play focussed will probably lose. That's not to say Irmo will lose, I expect them to win state, but saying they can't lose will just put them back in the same situation as last year. Back to the first topic, why aren't more games between the top teams of each division scheduled? It would give a much better picture of how divergent the divisions really are. Just because the schools are smaller doesn't mean 3A is a "lower" division than 4A

If BE is so good, why did they have so much trouble with Ben Lippen. Ben Lippen dominated the second half and most of BE's score were on brek aways. Several SCISA teams have played them close.

If you think Irmo would lose, you are mistaken. I played against them and they are the some of the best soccer players I have ever seen. I mean I hate them for being so good, but you have got to hand it to the Irmo soccer program. They know how to play and dominate a soccer game. You have got to give them props for going undefeated in 18 matches. Just remember that they are human and they can be beaten. I just wonder if they can finish off a perfect season. Good luck to anyone that plays them in the playoffs.
