Does anyone know who will coach the 88 boys team?
Is ODP all political or are the best guys really chosen? Does it depend mostly on the players the coach knows and the area of the state he is from? Or do all players get a fair chance??

Well ODP is going to be political, thats a gimme. But you have to make do and play to the best of your ability. My only question is why do they have the ODP tryouts the same day as the USC vs. Clemson soccer game? Same time and everything, if you don't wanna play at the crappy Polo rec fields

I have years of experience with ODP. Every year they promise that things will be better next year. In my experience...things have never changed...but ODP is a necessary evil for the serious soccer player. The truly outstanding players will be chosen...no politics there. But for the other 80% of players that are pretty near equal...who you are and who you know definately comes into play. And if you can work your way into administration...your son is a sure thing.

You must go to scysa.org...state select teams...news flash(boys). Haven't received the usual mailout this year...no idea who the coaches are...less and less info every year...
