U-16 should be a battle this year, who do you think will come out on top?

gfcp --

I don't know if you're inquiring about boys or girls. Look for a girls u-16 final of CGSA Fusion vs GFC. Should be a very good game. They played to a tie earlier in the season in Columbia.

Greeville,Greenville, and Greenville again & again.Almost a sweep again, cept for little ol'Aiken-16.Maybe Columbia will get it's act together and merge the best of CSC-NECSA & CRSA so someone can whip those Greenville lads, but I doubt it will happen. One Columbia club should have the best of the U-18s,another the best of the 17s and so on.There's enough talent in Cola.-just too split up.

Congratulations to a very capable and inspired GFC U-16 girls team for their victory over CGSA Fusion. Best luck next summer in Greensboro.

Columbia area club soccer associations have too many egos and not enough common sense. This applies to the people running the Columbia area assocications and to the parents who all think their kids are so good that they know better than coaches. Carolina FC might be trying to do the best job for girls.

U-15 Boys
St Giles 3 CSC 1. Too many horses in the stable for St Giles, CSC didn't have enough depth to keep up.
U-16 Boys
A great match, St Giles was up 2-1 with 8 minutes left over national runner up Aiken Fire. The Fire scored twice in the final minutes for a 3-2 win. Jamal scored the game winner on a one time shot at the top of the box.

Congrats Aiken Fire!! Way to go Jamal...we are all pulling for you!! Amazing that Coastal Fire (Coastal Soccer Club)had Jamal in their own back yard...already playing on a team in their club...and yet Aiken saw his potential and recruited him...And we wonder why Coastal teams don't win state cups...hmmmmmm....

Aiken Fire wins through tough battle:

The Fire went up 1-0 about 20 minutes into the game and then a pk was awarded to St. Giles. The score ended 1-1 at half time.

The Second half was about the same for Giles. About 2 minutes into the game they get another pk and go up 2-1 on Aiken. With about 3 minutes left in regulation Aiken gets a pk and puts it away to tie it up 2-2. Finally, with 25 seconds of regualtion left a ball is played over the top to Aiken's left forward who hits a one time shot from the corner of the 18 to put Aiken up 3-2.

It was a well fought match god jobs on both teams.

Spoton; That should have been Greenville FC, Greenville FC, Greenville FC and again and again...5 for GFC!
Congratulations to all five teams and the GFC coaching staff for an incredible run. The technical training at GFC is superb.
Good luck in the Spring and at Regionals..

I believe the Pumas lost to St. Giles 4-3 in OT on Saturday and lost to Aiken 1-0 on Sunday.

I was at the aiken/giles final. I think that giles has a talented team dont get me wrong but i dont think it would have been that good of a game if the referees hadnt screwed aiken. Neither of the pk's was in the box and it was obvious too. Aiken has an amazingly strong a defense and a decent offense. There was a rumor that the ref was an imployee of the St.Giles club. Now you see What the number 2 team in the nation is capable of. They dont let the anything take them off there game. Thats needed i you want to succeed in this sport.

G11- I think that your comments are a little biased considering you played for the Fire...
