Anyone think Aiken Fire can make a comeback this weekend and win state again with 10-11 players?? Other predictions?

Is Robert Hunter playing for CESA U18. He was at a scrimmage between CESA and CSC u17. If so he is a differnce maker.

I predict that CESA and MPSC will meet in the U17 boys finals, with CESA winning.

As expected, MPSC handled CSC rather easily in the U17 boys

Yeah, bruin, you were right. CSC U17 had no offense all season and could not score v. an average MPSC defense. Do you think MPSC can take CESA?

MPSC has a strong defense and plays together as a team. CSC lacks both of these attributes. MPSC will certainly give CESA a run for their money. The CESA-NECSA game was a lot closer than the score indicates.

Does anyone ever wonder why SCYSA doesn't post the results/scores of the state cup finals?

>>[TW Sharpe] Any results from the U15 girls?<<
I can't guarantee these but they are what I heard from some parents. I heard that in the U15G bracket that MPSC and CESA went forward over Spartanburg and Lexington, respectively. The CESA/Lexington score was 7-1; I don't know what the MPSC/Spartanburg game score was.

Bruin, I was at the CESA/NECSA game and the score (4-1) was about how close the game was. 2-0 at the half and then 2-1, 3-1, and 4-1. Better team won!

Will this weekend's results, which were not entirely unexpected , rekindle the merger talks in Cola and Chas?. I don't see CESA getting any weeker, so it is up to the other clubs to find a way to raise their level of play.

I hope that the Charleston area clubs entertain the idea of a merge or at least funneling their top players to one area. CESA obviously dominated the state cup this weekend.

Congrats to MPSC for great improvement: Fall 2003 - no one playing in Championship Fall 2004 - 4 runner ups.
Combine that with the 3 Spring 2004 titles and there may be hope for catching up with the GFC/St Giles merger - someday. Talon and BDad are right though. 4 clubs in Charleston area. See my posts from last yr.
The CESA merger mainly eliminated their own competition - Between the 2, last yr had 5 champions and 4 runner ups in Fall 2003.

CESA 89 1, MPSC Legion 0. Well played and very clean game. Could have gone either way but CESA took advantage of a defensive mistake and we didn't. Good luck in Dallas!! Hope it doesn't rain.

Kudos to Thad Miller and CSC U18 boys.....Thad did a great job with this team, and they came within a hair of the title.

I believe if the same team that CSC fielded this year had been together last year, that they would have possibly won U17 last year and definitely U18 this year. They added some stellar players this year - 3 signed at USC, 1 at Clemson, another at Coastal Car. Good stuff!

i4now I wasn't too impressed with his(both coaches for the 18s) sideline decorum. Hope he, actually both, is in fact a better coach than example to the kids.
