Northside U-13B had two kids out with injuries, one kid very sick and two kids on a school trip. That left them with eleven.

A full Northside team, or better yet, the Mt. Pleasant team that Northside eliminated last weekend, would have given CSC a much better match.

Congrats to the Burn Navy, I hear they are a very good team.

It is fairly simple . The u13 Cesa p will have to win 3rd place . The challenge is at least 2nd . So the club will have the challenge falling into to the not interested in playing premier so it will fall to the 3rd place team which should be cesa premier.

So you're saying...they(whoever "they" is) assume the majority of the players on the Challenge team would not be interested in playing in Premier league?? So it would default to Premier team?? I would think they(the challenge team) fought too hard for the win to give up the priviledge of playing premier. Should be interesting...

UPstate: nothing you said is simple. First off, the Challenge team is guarenteed a spot in the Premier league. The Premier team (I hate those names) is not, even if they get third place. Only the top two teams are guarenteed Premier league.

Now, that being said, if both teams somehow make it into the Premier league then I would think that CESA would keep the teams mostly the same. However, if only the challenge team gets to play Premier then the club has a dilemma on how they should staff that team.

They do, as you have said, have the option of dropping the Challenge team out of the Premier league and pushing the Premier team up, but in my opinion, if that is the option that is chosen, would be the most unfair thing I have ever seen done to a group of kids.

Borrow trouble for yourself, if that's your nature, but don't lend it to your neighbors. [Rudyard Kipling]

Wow! What good fortune to have a problem such as this -- truly competitive teams and coaching!

Congratulations to the CESA U13 Challenge team; superb result. Good luck in the finals today!

Very shortly there will be a try-out for the u-14 teams. All teams. Some of the p boys will probably make c and some of the c boys will probably make p. So the club has 1 spot before todays game are played and that is with this year Challenge team . Congratulation to those boys and coaches. Win or lose I think the club will have them default on the oppurtunity to play in the premier league which will allow the 3rd place team to step in that spot .That was the purpose of having a premier, challenge and classic team. The u 17 G had 2 teams playing premier this year and it really was not very successful. The U 18 girls have earned that shot again.Premier does require more time and $$ which does create problems for famlies and players who enjoy the game but do not want their lifes center around soccer.
