Surprising-no analysis/breakdown/chatter or anything else in regards to the girls side of cup. I guess since CESA swept-nuff said?

Kevin has been our starting sweeper all season and he has done a great job (as evidenced by our record). It was due to an injury that I had to move from center-mid back to sweeper. He will show you in high school season he can play.

I've always been impressed with him and never heard anyone say that he doesn't deserve to start...

as far as the girls side, at least there won't be any double cesa teams in the premeir league. csc u16, mpsc u17, and csc u18. Then again, there is always the u14 championship in the spring.

Just wanted to say that I never said Kevin wasn't any good, simply that it was funny he was posting about himself under such an obvious screen name.

it is interesting that little discussion of the girls EVER appears on scsoccer.com—and i do think the results of the CESA girls premier teams in state cup and the U17 premier results in RIIIPL are things to be discussed—having watched girls club soccer for over a decade now—i feel safe saying that the CESA merger has been wonderful for the girls—and i don't mean to imply anything about the quality of girls teams before the merger—i feel that girls soccer in SC is poised to be highly competitive in the region (it is already happening) and even nationally if this trend continues—regardless of the club or the winners, however, i think girls soccer in SC at this year's state cup deserves a big congrats—

When I read all of the discussion/complaints about injuries on the boys side, I couldn't help but think of hearing about a CESA U17G central defender, Jessica Thomas, having to go to the hospital on Saturday to see if her ankle/leg was broken and then playing in the finals on Sunday. Tough player...

Does anyone know if MPSC's U16G team will play Premier next year?

kickman,
Sarcasm not needed. Purple has a point about the lack of postings in relation to the girls side. It seems that alot of talk/speculation went on before the cup and no dissemination after the finals. I for one would like to hear how others felt about the competition on the girls side. Maybe Chico has started something with his inquiry about MPSC U16g. That's an interesting guestion (I believe they chose not to go premier last time around). With LCSC getting knocked out, would Carolina FC be interested (and what happened in that game?) And will CSC U17g play premier or will there be 2 CESA's?What happened in the NESCA U17g 3rd place game? Hadn't NESCA beaten them in regular season play (4-0)? What about LCSC not having a premier team? I believe the U16g were the only ones competing in premier. Just some things to make you go ummmm....

The third place CESA U17G Challenge is a good team -- in the quarterfinals they upset a good MPSC White U17G team that had previously beaten second-place CSC (although a Dad told me that the reason they lost was basically unfair scheduling at the MPSC tournament) and they beat what I heard was a really good NECSA team. Someone told me that one reason they didn't do better on Saturday was that one of their keepers was playing in the field; don't know how much truth there is to that -- but I do think a lot of their keeper!
