Zach Prince, Jamal Geathers, Danny Cates, Jugal Dalal, Andrew Autenzio, Seth Kulasekera (sp?), Kira Campbell, et al...in no particular order.

There are many in different age groups and both sexes.... You will need to refine the selection process. I personally do not think you can compare across age groups without understanding the competition within the age group.

For example U15 boys you can pretty much say there are 3 teams, U16 boys on the other hand there are 6 strong teams, thus a player that stands out in U16 may be more deserving than one at U15. By the way I have no qualms with your picks all 3 are deserving of praise.

I think that alot has to do with the fact that it's easier for a player to look good in club surrounded by lots of good players, whereas their high school team they may only have 1-2 top caliber players and must elevate the players around them.

I have seen several players that were good HS players who struggled mightily when faced with top notch players at every position on the other team. There is a reason that college coaches scout the top clubs and not HS. Its hard to tell who can play at a high level when the competition is weak. If a kid stands out in a top club, then he is almost always a great HS player. The opposite is not true in many situations.I agree that a good HS player on a weak team will be a better player when surrounded by quality, but it will be more difficult to stand out.

This is just my opinion. Have a nice day..

Thats not what he said. He said was some kids look better b/c of the talent around them, not against them.

Also it seems to be a harder task of making average players(typical hs) look good rather than the talent on a "recruited" club team.

I was replying to the question posed by kickman. Why isn't the list of HS and club top players the same.

Tyler, I believe you are approaching this from the standpoint of the average player. I was looking more at the top players.

You might be a better player in club because you are surrounded by good players, but you better be REALLy good to stand out in that enviroment.

For example, you take most any 2A player that stands out in HS and put him on any age appropriate final 4 team from club and he would have a much more difficult time being seen as a standout on the club team. Remember, this thread is about the top players not average players.

Any kid at BE can play on any club team. The reeves kid from pendleton was on GFC. If anything those guys look better on the "elite" team than in HS.

Zack Prince u18-Irmo
Jamal Geathers GA u19-SA
Jugal Dalal u16 Irmo
Sean Flynn u16 SV
Enzo Martinez u15 Northwestern (right?)
Danny Cates u17 (u16 elligible) Dutch Fork

and I'm not sure about Kira Campbell, Andrew, sebastian (never heard of him), or preston. But all of the ones listed play at 4a schools, and all but maybe Enzo (never seen him play high school) are standouts on their teams.
