Two things- first, what does everyone think about the rumor that Clint MAthis is going to Bayern Munich for a reported $6 million transfer fee? I say- way to go Clint. MLS needs to understand that they may be a bit of a developmental league for a while. With this money, they could secure more younf US talent and keep them in MLS for a few years instead of having them jump to some European club's developmental team. I think that if Mathis, and perhaps McBride, get to play serious minutes in Europe, it validates the MLS.

Second- what the hell was that game played on? It certainly was not a soccer field. It barely qualified for a modified football field. It looked more like a run down baseball infield. US Soccer and the players should publically mention the deplorable condition of that field. One of the announcers even commented that "most teams headed to the World Cup would refuse to play on such an unsafe field". We are lucky that Giants Stadium did not cost us another torn ACL, but Jamaica might have (Vanney- twisted knee, Keller- knee contusion).

first - screw Bayern Munich, Mathis should go to Liverpool

second - both tough injuries, but we still got Friedel and Vanney was just an alternate
