I hate to say it but our{USA} D is weak. With a D like that I wouldn't look over anybody.S Korea would have won that match 3-1 had it not been for Freidel.

Korea dominated us. Bruce Arena can't be happy with his team's play. I think the shot score was 20 to 6. Without Friedel in the net this game could have been ugly. Despite his one goal, Clint Mathis was non-existant and the defense (Jeff Agoos in particular) was outrun, outpassed, and outplayed. The only pros i saw were excellent games from Friedel and Sanneh. Also, Beasley worked hard in mid-field, but produced little.

Korea did dominate, and we are very fortunate and I would say that BA is happy at this point. The crowd's influence was good for one goal. It was amazing how loud and constant their cheering and singing was (an extemely hostile environment with a great deal of anti American sentament, scary). As a result the referee did not give us many calls as the Koreans got away with a lot.

I have defended Agoos in the past, but he is going to have to step it up and get his head on some more balls. Mathis and Freidel came up huge.

how can he not be happy? they might as well have been playing in Azteca with a crowd and climate like that...and no way Korea actually deserved to win that game...i mean, come on they had

homefield advantage
partial ref (though not as partial as some CONCACAF ones)
familiar to the climate
a penalty kick
an open netter
about 5 fast breaks

if you cant win with that you dont deserve to even get a point, much less win...all in all i say a hard, well earned point by the US

USA must not play like they did against Poland against Mexico or there wont be much of a second round for them. They are extremely lucky and should be forever grateful to SK for their win over Portugal.
