Way to go USA!!! The United States was ranked #24 in the FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings as recent as December, 2001 -- but the solid play since January has taken Coach Bruce Arena's squad 13 places higher to #11!!!

Portugal didn't even make it out of the first round of the World Cup. They lost to S. Korea and USA and are still ranked higher. Hmmm
