I just talked to former Brookland-Cayce HS standout Troy Lesesne (now a senior at the College of Charleston) on his way back from St. Simon's Island in Georgia where the Cougars played the U.S. U17 squad and Clemson today. CofC lost both matches 1-0 in 80 minutes back-to-back. Freddy Adu played for the U17s and did not score against CofC, but in the first half alone against the Tigers had a hat-trick.

The Cougars have released their 2004 Fall schedule, which includes five teams from the 2003 NCAA playoffs and six tournaments. Charleston finished 13-4-3 last season and was rated 48th nationally by SoccerRatings.com.
