The Citadel Soccer Inks Three

Charleston, SC - The Citadel women's soccer team and head coach Megan Hjerling announced Wednesday, February 16, that Emily Haller, Laura Curran and Trinity Batye signed National Letters-of-Intent to play soccer for the Bulldogs.

Haller is a Goose Creek, SC native and will graduate from Stratford High School in May. Haller is a 5'3'' half-back who earned three letters during her high school career, while also receiving all-county and all-region laurels. Haller's intended major at The Citadel is business.

Curran, a 5'5'' goalkeeper from Irmo, SC, competed at Dutch Fork High School where she earned three varsity letters. Curran was also a member of the Columbia Soccer Club and twice named defensive player of the year. Curran's intended major at The Citadel is criminal justice.

Batye is a 5'5'' forward from Tarpon Springs, FL where she played for the Clearwater Chargers and Countryside High School. In 2004, Batye led her team to be the National Director's Cup Region III Champions as well as helping Counrtyside High School win the Regional Championship. As a junior, Batye was awarded team captain and Sickles High School MVP. Batye was also a part of the Superclub Regional Finalist squad, Distict and Division 3 Championship teams as well as 3v3 National Championship and National Finalist lineups in 2003.
