I just got through watching the match. The "talisman", Frank Lampard, netted two goals to give the Blues their first Premiership title since 1955. Chelsea is the one of only four clubs to win the championship since the EPL was formed in the early 1990s -- Arsenal Gunners, Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United.
I had the privilege of watching Chelsea play Bologna of Italy in 1999 at Stamford Bridge and although I cannot stand the Blues, I congratulate them on their 2004-05 performance and am quite sure that there will be some bodies on the floor of the "One Eyed Newt" later this evening in London!
