ahh, this is one of those magical days FIFA can create and now with my Direct TV (with Setanta Sports), I able to watch WCQs all day.

Earlier today Scotland beat Moldova 2-0 to move up in theor group with a game in hand on everyone.

The leaders of that group (#1 Italy and #2 NOrway) are playing now and at the half, the game is tied 0-0. Del Piero and Totti were left off the roster for Itlay.

Also playing right now are group leaders Holland who are leading #3 Romania 1-0 at the half.

Do not forget the US play Costa Rica tonight on ESPN2 at 7:30. Also, Guatemala play Mexico tonight.

In the most compelling game of the day, Switzerland won at the Faroe Islands 2-1. The Faroes (i string of mountainous islands near Iceland) were beaten at Switzerland 6-0 last time they played.

Italy-Norway finished at 0-0. I know Italy were without some of their better players (Vieri went out 10 minutes into the second half with a hamstring injury) but Norway played them tough and had their chances. A pretty entertaining 0-0 draw.

Holland won 2-0 with a goal inside of 2 minutes into the second half.

After today, European WCQing is on break until September with the exception of an odd game or two next week.
