Dear Soccer Enthusiast:

This Tuesday, November 8th, there is a bond referendum which applies to residents of the Lexington County portion of Lexington-Richland District 5. There are 2 items on the ballot, one of which is for "Recreation" as put forward by the ICRC (Irmo-Chapin Rec Commission). As you are aware, ICRC is the entity that provides the soccer fields that we currently play on.

The proposed bond referendum for "Recreation" includes funding for 8 new soccer fields (4 on St.Andrews Rd, near Seven Oaks Park) and 4 at Crooked Creek. The plan calls for "Crooked-Creek type fields" which we all love to play on.

Several of us met with ICRC to hear more about their plans should this referendum pass, and we believe that a "YES" vote is voting 'yes' for amateur soccer in our area! Among other benefits, more fields would allow for further expansion of our league.

We would like to encourage you to support this referendum, to vote 'yes', and to encourage your family, friends, and neighbors eligible to vote to do the same. Once again it is important that you to invest the time to vote, since this is effectively a "special election" with only 2 items on the ballot, and
YOUR VOTE WILL MOST CERTAINLY COUNT.

For additional information about this referendum please call 772-1228 or e-mail: etaylor@icrc.net

Please do your best to get out to vote at your regular voting precinct this Tuesday.
