Alright, I get to start the thread about the draw.

First things first, some random comments:

Huge honor for Cobi being on that stage. He deserves it.

Heidi Klum got as much applause as Pele. Why?

Marcelo Balboa and Eric Wynalda think the US are serious contenders; DeMarcus Beasley and Steve Ralston don't. Go figure.

Tommy Smith was asked his opinion of several teams. When asked about the English, he replied, "Don't ask an Irishman about the English." I like that.

As far as the draw goes, it's going to be tough. The US needs a win and a draw against Italy and the Czech Republic. Out of pot 4, Korea got the favorable draw.

Six months and counting...

I would say that Germany, Mexico and Spain got the best of the draw while the US is in a lot of trouble. Also, England got a fairly favorable draw. Just glad not to be in the Argentina, Ivory Coasta, S & B, and Holland group.
