Yes, Lennon is worthy of a start but he is valuable off the bench (fresh legs) just as Beckham is valuable on the field (free kicks). Lennon would have been a good sub for Beckham after the goal.

You know....there's a reason Tevez and Messi don't start for Argentina as well.

The reasons they don't start are called Crespo and Saviola. Beckham cannot claim to be as good as either of those. In fact both Messi and Tevez would get on the field before Beckham if they were English, as should Lennon.

Bazza, I'm not sure if Crouch will make the team for Euro '08. I'd like to see him get a few minutes on the field with Rooney though. I think Crouch could lay a few balls off for a withdrawn Rooney, allowing the ManU striker to get some good chances.

(Just make sure the ball gets played to Rooney and not Lampard. I've seen enough balls go into the stands.)
