Have been waiting and waiting for this summer. I love to watch my favorite players perform for England, France, and Brasil. BUT. . .

The matches by England, France, Brasil, and the US have been UNINSPIRED.

The African teams have played with heart. The Togo goal was wonderful. Costa Rice played with heart. T&T inspired us all.

The superstars are fat and lazy, maybe. Disapppointing. . .

Isn't that what the first rounds are always about? The underdogs.. I certainly agree with you.. but I wouldn't write off this World Cup yet.

Hopefully at least one African nation makes it out of group play (I say Angola). But once the little guys are out of the way..the stars will be forced to step up and prove themselves against eachother.

Btw - I think it's safe to say Klose and Crespo have delivered for their respective nations.. and if there is a man of the tourney so far..it has to be Cahill who subbed in with a knee injury and scored the first two goals in Austrailia's WC history in the last ten minutes to bring the Aussies back from being down 1-0 against Japan. Unreal.

I'm disappointed in the US..but have no complaints AT ALL with this World Cup so far.

Not complaining about WC! Love it, love it. Disappointed with the matches/players that have been uninspired.

I failed to mention—Aussies and Mexico provided inspired runs in their matches. Bravo!

The best teams I have seen so far are the German and Italian sides.

I've been a Holland fan since 1974's Johann Cryuff and "Clockwork Orange" team. I'm liking them again this year (along with a very determined Spain). Neither have won a World Cup.
