after ukraines showing today saudi arabia or tunisa play with heart they may knock them out. I dont see Switz beating Czechs and I see Germany breaking a lot of fans hearts in a loss against Argentina. I still think Brazil has even gotten started and a lost to Italy would be a downer for a lot of people who got Brazil again. Netherlands looked strong but Van Nistelroy steps up and plays as good as Robben theyd be hard to stop.

Dudeman,
Swiss beating the Czechs? No way.
The Semis will be
Germany, Czechs, Netherlands, Spain.

Plus, your predictions are suspect anyway. You jinxed Flora by picking Riverside in the HS playoffs.

...look at how far you have fallen, Jack. 2nd rate brackets, blind flashes of rage, using only two periods when displaying a period of elipses. Come back to us, Jack.

Or use this one. I know it is very time consuming to post the bracket charts. Took me 20 long sec. Not too bad for an old man though.

dudeman,
You clearly must be slipping if you picked the
Swiss over the Czechs. The Czechs will put holes in the Swiss(cheese). Well..........more holes.
They will cut the Swiss(cheese) to pieces. You need to focus more on soccer and less on posting your very boring personal travel pics. Get your priorities in order, son.

Just like the Czechs will do v. the Swiss(cheese).

How about this scenario in Group B:

Trinidad & Togago beats Paraguay 2-0
England beats Sweden 2-1

Sweden and T&T tied for second with 4 points each

Tiebreakers:
Goal difference - both have 0
Goals scored - 2 each
Head to head results - 0-0 draw
Drawing of lots - I predict T&T

Coach P, that scenario would be the same as this one I thought up earlier. England beats Sweden 2-0, Trinidad beats Paraguay 1-0. Same EXACT results against the same opponents...

I'm looking forward to Spain's next match. Although they were facing a virgin in the Ukraine, they looked exceptionally strong.

Holland has been one of my favorites since Cryuff's team (Clockwork Orange) in '74.

It would be nice, but not surprising, to see these two meet in the final since neither have ever won.

I've noticed that internationally, soccer team records are listed in the following order: wins-draws-losses as opposed to the usual American way of wins-losses-draws. I like the international way because it is in order of point value as used in most soccer competitions: 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.

I'm going to agree with Dude on winners for the next round. As much as I'd like to see a France-England matchup, I doubt its occurrence. Then I see another Germany-Brasil meeting in Berlin (awesome city).

Can't help but wonder about the Riquelme and Crespo subs.

Why take out Riquelme? Why put in Cruz?

Why not keep Riquelme? Or put in Cambiasso and Messi/Saviola?

I was telling a friend while watching the match. That Pekerman would wait till the 80th-85th to use the last sub (being Messi/Saviola if Germany had scored or defensive if not). But no, after losing Abbondanzieri in the 71st. He subs out his star midfielder in the 72nd. And is scored on a minute after making his last sub in the 79th.

I could go on forever! Argentina may have been the better side.. but Germany had all the luck..and a little more.
