CHARLESTON BATTERY/DUTCH FORK HIGH SCHOOL TO OFFER SOCCER CAMP - The Charleston Battery coaching staff and players will be offering a 3-day soccer camp in conjunction with Dutch Fork High School June 14-16. The Battery coach, Chris Ramsey, his staff and players from the 2003 A League Champions will instruct. The camp is designed for teams aged 14 and up, both boys and girls. Individuals will be accepted. Ramsey is a former English Premiere League player and has recently served as head coach of England's U-17 National Team and full assistant to England's Full National Team. Camp schedules are still in the works, but plans are to go from 9 am to 4 pm with a mid -day break for lunch. Meals will not be provided. All sessions will be held at Dutch Fork HS. This is a low-frill, high-impact camp. Coaches or players who might be interested should email Dutch Fork Soccer Coach Wayne Quinlan at wquinlan@lex5.k12.sc.us in order to get on a mailing list. Coaches who attend with teams are free. Otherwise there will be a small charge. The fee for the camp has not been decided on yet but it should be under $300.
