BOWMAN, The Post and Courier Staff The 21st annual Mount Pleasant Rotary Club Soccer Classic will be held Feb. 26 at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island. This year's field includes boys' and girls' teams from Academic Magnet, Berkeley, Bishop England, Colleton County, First Baptist, Fort Dorchester, Goose Creek, Hanahan, James Island, North Charleston, Pinewood Prep, Porter-Gaud, Stratford, Summerville and Wando. The Burke boys' team will compete, as will Ashley Hall and the West Ashley girls' squad. The action will begin at 8 a.m. and concludes at approximately 8 p.m. Admission is $3, and children wearing a soccer uniform will get in free. The pairings are expected to be announced this week. All proceeds benefit the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club charities, which include Meals on Wheels, East Cooper Community Outreach, Habitat For Humanity, college scholarships for area students and various local charities and projects.
