Coach P: I like it!!! Several things seem obvious. The first is that CUFC is the "powerhouse" of Columbia area soccer from the perspective of number of select teams fielded. If you updated the state finalist history chart with this, I think it shows that historically CUFC combined is also dominant in the Columbia area.

The second is how big LCSC is -- which is always an on-going realization. This is the sleeping giant, the diamond in the rough, the <put your analogy/metaphor here> of South Carolina youth soccer.

The third is just how effective CRSA is in terms of "quietly" serving their community and achieving their objectives.

Great stuff -- thank you!

Like this?

Also, here is something I put together a couple of months ago to see how the combined CSC/NECSA would stand in a state ranking based on the top 3 finishers in the Challenge Cup last year:

Of course none of this means anything unless the merged teams can do it on the field this year.

I thought that CESA only won 9 and came in second in 2. I thought that Bridge FA won two state challenge cups last year (didn't they win U16 and U17 boys?) and that Aiken won one (U19). That's just off the top of my head...could be wrong...

Chico,
You are correct. I had the 1st and 2nd places transposed for U16 & U17 boys. I have corrected the chart above.

I did not include U19 in the numbers.
