I was speaking with a high-ranking official in our school district today and we were talking about the increased number of quality athletes playing high school soccer as compared to 10-15 years ago. He brought up that soccer has evolved in "his opinion" to include more than just kids that were too small to do something else and started noting how many soccer players were "in" to other sports.

I am interested in what high school soccer players are making contributions to their high school football team this fall. Please list the soccer players and their football positions (yes, "kickers" count), including stats or honors to date if possible.

Also, if there are some standout Cross Country runners or good Swimmers, let us know. We can probably throw out some Basketball players and Wrestlers as well!

At Lincoln, my third leading scorer Nick Steed leads the football team in yardage and points as a running back. Terence Deas who has yet to play soccer here but plays for Bridge is the team's top receiver.

Both Punter/kickers are soccer players. Scribner-Howard is being recruited as a college punter/kicker and also as a goalkeeper.
Last year, Steven Goulet, who started nearly every match, made the Shrine Bowl and is now a red-shirt freshmen, receiver at Venderbilt Univ. We have a few wrestlers and cross country runners.

Pendleton being a smaller district, most of our athletes play more than one sport. I don't have stats for any of these athletes but instead will list them by the sports they play and positions if I know them. Stars imply starters or top 6 for Cross Country. This list also only includes those players who were in the program last year and are returning this year.

It would seem that club soccer would conflict with the football team...I know at my school one kid was playin WR but was unable to be at enough practices b/c of CESA practice...he is still our kicker though

Former Wilson Hall and Columbia Soccer Club player and current Citadel freshman Brendan Kight is in Chattanooga Tenn, for this weekends Southern Conference Cross Country Championships...Brendan has had a solid year thus far both running (finishing 3rd thru 5th on his team at each meet) and academically..He will also be a member of The Citadel Track Team starting Monday.

It was a difficult decision not to play soccer in college for Brendan, but thus far he seems at peace with his choice.
