What makes a good high school soccer coach? What about a good club coach? Is there a difference? If so, what?

I ask these questions, because myself and a co-worker were talking about HS basketball and their AAU coach, but the similarities to soccer certainly raised my interest. Post away!

A good high school/club coach. I have seen hundreds and the one thing that makes or breaks them all. Being a good person.
Seems simple but it is the hardest thing for many to achieve.

The best coaches know how to teach the game to their players. You could be the most knowledgable coach in the world, but if you cannot communicate things to your players, you are not going to be successful.
