I would like to know everyone's thoughts on who is the best five (5) HS team in 4-A, 3-A, 2-A and 1-A.

Also who are the best five (5) players by 4-A, 3-A, 2-A and 1-A at their positions?

I will post my thoughts shortly.

P&Y and Hurst continuing from Club post:

I am not trying to load the pressure on Coach Czar just stating he has alot of experienced club players for his team. When HS topic comes up with the other club parents it seems most HS have a few club players and some have difficulty fielding a JV and a Varsity team. Mauldin on the hand has many players to chose from for both teams. I have listed each CESA teams and how many attend Mauldin and I was wondering if others would post their respective HS team with Club players.

U18 premier - zero
U18 challenge - 3 (two of the 3 are playing up)
U17 premier - 1
U17 challenge - 1
U16 premier - 4
U16 challenge - 4
U15 premier - 6
U15 challenge - 4

I know of one Mauldin starter from last years team who doesn't play for CESA. I don't have a count for Classic or HS league.

2A-1A—Woodruff hasn't lost to Southside in the past three seasons—Return 3 seniors who are strong—This is Woodruff's year to challenge BE—#5 is underestimating them—BUT if GK's top 5 played round-robin, I think it would be hard to separate any of them from the others—

Woodruff and club (I am estimating, but I think this is close):

U18G CESA Premier—1
U15G CESA Challenge—1

U18 Classic West Spartanburg—7 or 8 (?)

Riverside is in a transition year with this being the last at 3A as I understand it. Based on last years record vs. 4A opponents -

Boiling Springs 5 - 0
Wando 1 - 0
Ridgeview 1 - 0
Wren 1- 0, 7 - 1
James Island 3 - 0
Mauldin 0 - 1 (one of two loses total for the year), 1 - 0, 1 - 0
Dorman 2 - 0
Spartanburg 3 - 0
Byrnes 4 - 0

and the strength of its lineup

CESA U18 Premier - 2
CESA U18 Challenge - 3
CESA U17 Premier - 3
CESA U17 Challenge - 5
CESA U16 Challenge - 1

I think the future is bright...

Riverside for 3A champs for the third time in the last four seasons is my risky prediction....

I believe that Lexington will be a contender in 4a.

Of our 6 seniors, only two are playing club ball...period. As a coach one would worry that your biggest and oldest players might have some early rust.I wouldn't give us too much credit yet, Hurst. However, congrats to Taylor Craft for signing with Erskine College!

I notice everyone is staying away from the best players (pre-season). Maybe we just don't know everyone. I'll start and leave some spaces open for the rest of you to fill in. I don't know all players either.

Forwards:

4-A

1 - Kira Campbell, Lexington
2 -
3 -
4 -
5 - Caitlin Robinson, T.L. Hanna

3-A

1 -
2 -
3 - Austin Fagan, Riverside
4 - Brently Roberts, Eastside
5 - Rae Wilson, J.L. Mann

2-1 A

1 -
2 -
3 -
4 -
5 -

#1 doesn't mean #1 in State, just means top 5 in State.
