Some interesting pairings in girls scrimmages—top teams facing each other early—small v. large schools—Any comment on what coaches are trying to accomplish with scrimmages?

Yeah

Experience
Confidence
Find weaknesses
Evaluate talent
Cut down on travel
Cut down on injuries

Probably some stuff like that.

Since I help with a small school, a scrimmage is a way to play a team that might not be able to arrange a regular season match; also we have used scrimmages to develop a relationship to get those matches in the future.

Not that it really matters...

But the Holy Grail is my favorite movie of all times and I have rewinded that part several times to try and understand what she says after they proclaim her a witch. It sounds to me like she says "that's a fair cop".

...oh yeah, back to the topic. Develop game experience and teamwork, opportunity to play smaller schools, shake rust off, all of that stuff. Playing better teams is good because playing a lesser team does not help you get ready for the speed of games.

You're right!—I had used a screenplay on-line—but a quick search shows your line is right—Thanks!

Ask W&E what his nickname for his center back is. Holy Grail lore permeates HS soccer!
