Thanks Kyle. I forgot about Sam. Links5, how can you possibly say that Enzo was shut down? If you can recall, Enzo dribbled his man, did danny cates in, and scored from a very sharp angle into the side netting past Dutch Fork's quality keeper. If Enzo getting a goal in a game that ended 2-1 in PK's means he got "shut down" then I wouldn't like to see him when hes not "shut down". Also, if i remember correctly Enzo was playing the whole game with his leg wrapped from a hip flexor injury.

I understand that but just because Enzo did not score in the all of 10 minutes Carey marked him doesnt mean he was shut down.

There are several defenders in 4a who can man mark Enzo and neutralize him one on one. However, their (NW) front is deep enough that that someone is going to get a shot off. Just don't let it be in front. NW plays a fast game and they need to be taken on at mid field. Teams need to be willing to be aggressive, hope they have a ref who understands when they are running a trap, and hope that Enzo doesn't draw cards on incidental contact. Watch for tricks on set plays. Thats my two cents worth.

I didn't do it, but if I had you never would have known.

I agree that there may be several defenders who can shut Enzo down but as of yet this year and last year, we have not seen it.thats a pretty good assessment of nw who_me. but beware of benson in the midfield.

I disagree. Last year both SV(at Stone) and Lexington were able to do it, again primarily by attacking quickly in the midfield.

Enzo got a goal against Lexington to seal the deal and created chances against Spring Valley. I guess if he doesnt get his two or three goals then he got shut down.

Umm enzo's goal against lex last year was one on one with the keeper in stop time with all of lex players up trying to get an equilizer... its not that amazing of a goal!

To play the game is good, to win the game is great, to LOVE the game is the greatest!

he still sealed the deal, in the end you just have to look at which team is wearing the ring
