is northwestern really 4 goals better than DF then
one can be beaten, two can defend themselves, but a a strand of three is not easily defeated

coladad, I heard that DF triple teamed that kid from NW and shut him down. I would not call that lucky. Sometimes you have to allow a team more possesion in order to keep a player from scoring. What seemed like luck may have been a good tactic used. Just food for thought.....
If you are going to argue a point, at least get factual information to back up your side.....

they did pay special attention to that kid, player of the year last year, aka enzo martinez. they did a real good job of marking ryan kropp out of the first game as well, what am i saying, kropp did not play in the first game. in the second game cates could not roam and had to pay special attention to kropp who went every where he did which obviously freed up martinez, benson-tourney mvp- and others. dutch fork showed up and has a good team who also may be around in the end and dutch fork did not quit, but da trojans have lots of firepower when it is all on the field.

coladad did you watch the first game? or did you just assume that because nw handled df in the second game that they must have gotten unlucky in the first? if you watched the first game, the score pretty reflected the match pretty well. nw had the majority of the chances in the first half with df scoring a late goal to pull it to even, but df definitely had the majority of the chances in the second half after carey hite was put on enzo practically shut him down. wolfgang's statement about the 2nd game is very accurate. kropp's size and ability to hold balls really opened up the game for both enzo and alex up top. kropp was not a 5 goal difference, there were other factors that affected the outcome, but he definitely played a huge role in helping them win that second game. nw is definitely the most skillful team through midfield and up top. there backs are not as solid as the rest of the team, but obviously still got the job done for most of the weekend.

Was there ever an All-Tournament team named for the Lake Murray Challenge or Carolina Classic?

why were there not any freshmen picked in this team? i felt as though there were some freshmen that i saw out there that could have been named before some, or is this selection just for the older players? also yes, i saw cates play against Northwestern and i thought he would be on this selection? anyone else feel the same?

Yes, I agree with you goldengrillz19, Cates should have definetely made the team and there should have been one or two freshman that I saw play on there. One would definetely be Joey Demore, he scored 2 goals against Dorman and was a threat the whole weekend along with the other forward for Chapin, maybe #2?? In my opinion there were several players left out and several that shouldn't be on that list, but it is just an "All-Tournament" team. And one more question where are all the goalkeepers, were there none chosen?
