Joey Demare is a freshman at Chapin. Not DeMore.

There is an answer for Enzo. A good man marking defender can contain him for a game. He might still have some spectacular plays but he wont do anything extrodinary like score a hat trick.

easier said than done, if u have ever had 2 mark a really good player

one can be beaten, two can defend themselves, but a a strand of three is not easily defeated

you both have a point. nw is so loaded that if you take your best defender and man mark enzo you more than likely will leave yourself exposed elsewhere in the back. against some teams that would not be a problem, but against a team like nw they have a handful of other players that'll make you pay.

ryan kropp is what makes the northwestern attack go. he was absent in the first match between the two teams and while enzo did score against dutch fork early, they did drop carey hite back on him limiting his play for the rest of the match. with kropp, there is just another aspect in the attack that you cannot just man mark enzo or kropp will beat you. nw uses kropp as the point man for their attack letting him win and hold balls. i personally think kropp is the reason the nw attack works so well.

Northwestern is not all that people say they are. They have probably the best front 2/3, depending on whether alex martinez is playing forward or midfielder. But, the rest of their team is average at best. The best way to beat Northwestern is play them the way they play you. Put your best 4 or 5 guys up front and attack them. If Enzo, Ryan, and Alex aren't getting the ball then it doesn't matter how good they are. If you score 6 goals and they score 5, you still win and then how effective were their best players. So in the end the only way to beat Northwestern is to throw as many people forward and force them to defend instead of allowing them to walk down your throat with their best 4 players.

Or you could defend them the old fashioned way. Put two guys on each of NW's best players up top and every time they touch the ball, hammer them. Rotate the players in and out so that you get 4 or 5 with yellows from hammering them, and that will probably slow them down. You don't intentionally injur them, you just make them hurt a little bit.

If you are going to argue a point, at least get factual information to back up your side.....
