There are many ways/reasons schedules are created. Availability of buses, drivers, funds. Just getting two sides to commit, then getting all involved in the logistics side to commit. Most of us use multi-purpose fields. When there is a track meet there is no soccer. There is even the attempt to have a few open days just to aid in make-up games. But that is hoping it connects to the other parties schedule. All in all most coaches would love to max out on schedules and let the kids play. Ask the coach and maybe you may be able to assist in removing the roadblock.
