Good game. Marlboro County led 2-1 but faded late and gave up the game winner w/ 1 min. to go.

My prayers are with the young man that was injured in the last two minutes of the game on the West Ashley team.

Everyone associated with the James Island program wish him a speedy recovery. His courage and strength in the face of the injury was remarkable. He even shook my hand as he was stretchered off. Good luck to him and the Wildcats.

what happened to him exactly?

He broke his leg.

Actually he rebroke his leg. I was told by one of the WA parents that he had just returned to play after being released from his doctor on Friday from the same broken leg.

Thank you all for you kind words about my team and my player. He was so happy to be able to play again after being on the sideline for so long. Yes he broke his leg again, but he will be fine. It was a very tough night for our program. He is a team captian and 3 year letterman. His presence will be missed. Now it is time for the younger guys to step up. We also lost anther players at the same time, not sure how long he will be out. 2-4 weeks maybe. It is going to be a tough week for us. Please contunue to pray for him and his family. Thanks

ok correction on that post, it wasnt that many goals, that was what one of the other players said during the last ot but im terrible at math but it was 4-4 at the end of regular play so whatever that is plus all of the PK's. Thats a gilbert education for ya
