Starts tonight. 16-team field. Who is the favorite? What are Clover's chances of coming out of this still undefeated?

Don't know anything about Clover, but they will face tough competition from the Midlands schools. As host, Airport is always a force. And don't count out the SCISA teams of Ben Lippen and Cardinal Newman. Both could win it all.
Last year, Ben Lippen beat Myrtle Beach and Barnwell, but lost to Airport.
It has always been a well-run tournament and some great soccer for the teams and spectators.

Woodruff, Clover, & Airport are all looking very good. Tough call.

Cardinal Newman will win this one....

The winner of the CN vs Woodruff match in the first round should go far. That may be the pairing of the tournament.

Playing two starters down, Ben Lippen lost to RNE 3-2.
Won't even say a word about the refs.

Ben Lippen plays loser of AC Flora and Sumter match.
Airport plays winner of Clover and Boiling Springs match.
West Florence plays loser of Clover and Boiling Springs match.

Rain....hopefully the rain will come in and get out by noon Friday. First games Friday are Cardinal Newman vs. Woodruff on Field 1 and Clover vs. Boiling Springs on Field 2 also at 3:00.

Clover had a real battle on their hands last night. They got outshot by Forestview (Gastonia, NC) but still managed to pull out a 1-0 win. I heard the refs turned a blind eye to most of Forestview's physical tactics. Clover's goalscorer needed medical attention again last night (possible broken nose). When these two teams met two weeks ago in a "friendly", this same girl was sandwiched and received a concussion.

NOTE TO SELF: Don't schedule Forestview next season.

Hope the Lady Blue Eagles have something left in the tank for the Airport Tourney this weekend.
