I hope many teams have something left; I have noticed too many matches scheduled too close together for many teams. Spring is tight and I think ADs and coaches some times confuse soccer for baseball. . .

The tournament matches are 30-min halves—that will help. But the tournaments and 3 matches a week. . .Are we asking too much of high school soccer players? I think so.

Now I am crossing my fingers for the rain to be out of here by match time. Good luck and safe playing to all.

Good luck to all down there in Columbia. We will be dealing with the same elements up here in Rock Hill this weekend as well.

4 scrimmages
16 games and 2 tournaments or
18 games and 1 tournament

If my girls weren't being whisked away during the weekends (and sometimes weekdays), they'd have time to recover and be less prone to nagging injuries. Then again, it's exposure. So what do you do? Take away their spring break to spread the games out (do you have SB plans you'd be willing to cancel for 2 HS matches)?

Don't put your child's safety on your coach. If you no likey...there is always something you can do about it

My comments were about how ADs and such misunderstand, still, soccer. And, FYI, when I was a head coach, my AD did ALL scheduling for ALL sports. Our hands were tied. I did beg and plead. . .

I would lobby for a 2-match standard per week with a limited number of 3-match weeks instead of a total number guideline.

My child's coach wouldn't jeopardize her safety—or the safety of any of his players. And I would NEVER imply or say that. But he doesn't do the schedule either. . .

I do our schedule and try to mix the "compact" week with the non region games I feel confident about and can play high numbers. There is a bill that would push spring sports forward 2 weeks to allow basketball more time to finish without overlapping. I wonder how that will affect things.

You said "AD's and coaches" thus my post. What do you mean "misunderstand"?

5:00 into the Clover-BS match. 2-0 Clover. Field is reported to be rather small.
